NOTE: You are unable to meet Yoda until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Yoda in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family and not left outside 24/7 with no interaction.
• I am a puppy, so I WILL bite, chew things, toilet inside, bark & cry and be destructive. It is up to you to train these behaviours out of me. Please don't apply for me if you are not willing to put in the effort to train me to grow up to be a well behaved and social dog.
• I need to be the only dog at home; I get jealous and may pick a fight. I am ok to socialize and be around other dogs when out & about on a walk, at the beach etc. and am good at doggy daycare & boarding however I am not interested in interacting with them.

• I'm happy to socialise with other dogs my own size but am NOT keen on bigger dogs
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond, no holes, gaps or little areas I could escape through)
• Lots of enrichment and mental stimulation
• No young children as when I'm excited or playing with my toys, I get defensive and mouthy, I also show resource guarding with my toys and kids don't always understand not to take it off me!
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• SOCIALISATION is as important as training a puppy. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will ensure I grow into a social and well-adjusted dog.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Social butterfly
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• I walk well on lead for a young doggo but having daily walks should help me improve my lead skills
• Exuberant & full of beans

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I appear to be a little vocal at times when left alone outside - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended
• I have some issues with resource guarding when it comes to my toys. I will need some training to help fix and to get rid of this behaviour. I will happily give up the toy I am guarding for something of higher value. With commitment and time, we will be able to work on this

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET YODA BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
