This gorgeous girl was sadly surrendered due to her family experiencing an unforeseen change in their living situation. Now, Rue is ready to get back into a loving home where she can run free and thrive.

Rue comes from a farming background, so she would ideally love plenty of space to stretch her legs and maybe even some cattle to round up. That said, she would do wonderfully in any very active home where she can burn off that classic Kelpie energy.

As you can imagine, going from wide open spaces to shelter life has been a little stressful for her, and she is feeling a bit anxious. With the right environment, this sweet girl will quickly bounce back once she is back in open spaces and a comfortable home.

Rue is friendly and can live with another dog who is comfortable with canine companions. We do recommend a meet and greet at the shelter to ensure it is a good match. Because she is quite excitable and can be a little jumpy, we suggest she go to a home with older children, secondary school age and up.
