About Poppy
🐾 Meet Poppy: A Loving Family Dog Who Will Steal Your Heart 🖤
Poppy is a striking Rottweiler x Maremma, with a good dollop of Alaskan Malamute in her genes. She was born on 9 January 2024 and weighs a healthy 29.5 kgs.
She has a placid and quietly affectionate nature - and her smile lights up the room.
She can be a little cautious when meeting new people — a reflection of her innate intelligence and ability to assess situations — but once she gets to know you, which doesn't take long, she forms strong, lasting bonds.
Poppy has had one litter of puppies, but her puppy-raising days are now behind her. She was desexed through ARK’s Last Litter Program, and some followers may remember her beautiful pups as The Breakfast Litter. She has taken well to life beyond motherhood and is ready to focus on being part of a new family.
She has shown herself to be a lovely family dog — great with other dogs and genuinely fond of children, both big and small.
Poppy is very much an inside/outside dog, happy spending time with her people indoors while also enjoying space outside.
A chatty girl, she loves to engage in dog-human conversation. She will also use her voice appropriately to let you know if someone has come onto her territory or arrived at the door, but settles once she understands the situation.
Poppy is looking for a home where she’ll be included, understood and given the chance to feel secure. In return, she offers steady companionship and a deep sense of connection.
