About Maxie, the greyhound
If you are interested in Maxie, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/4YdfUixpmWdJ4StT9
Maxie is the loveable goofball your heart has been waiting for. He’ll fill your days with cuddles and snuggles until you can’t imagine life without his steady stream of affection and goofball cuteness. He’s also an intelligent boy, insightful and perceptive.
This sweet, happy boy adores being surrounded by nature and is beside himself with joy on every walk. He’s great on lead, keeps to your left side, and shows polite interest in smaller dogs—standing calmly until invited to say hello, or happily moving on. He’s also met children at markets and parks, patiently soaking up their pats. He really is a sweetheart.
Maxie is wonderfully calm and accommodating with other greyhounds, engaging in gentle play and thriving in their company. His easygoing, caring nature and calming influence makes him the perfect companion for another greyhound.
He isn’t prone to separation anxiety, making him ideal for someone with an active lifestyle who needs a dog that can relax confidently while they’re out.
Maxie loves his toys, gathering them into a little pile before choosing his favourite—super cute! He also enjoys watching TV with you; sheepdog trials are his current pick.
Despite the initial challenges he’s faced, Maxie has made remarkable progress in overcoming his fears and it’s been a beautiful transformation to witness. His emerging personality is playful, genial, and full of love.
He adores affection and kisses and his favourite position is pressed up against you on the sofa, offering his charming “paw of more” for extra cuddles. Yet he also respects your space and settles quietly when you’re busy, making him an effortless addition to any household.
Maxie is the full package—intelligent, gentle, happy, well‑behaved, and ready to bring his affectionate nature and hilarious antics into your everyday life
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
