About Halo ✨
Halo is a petite, gentle girl with a quiet soul and a heart that truly shines.
Halo at first will proceed with caution and can be weary of new people but once you have gained her trust (it won't take long) and she chooses you, it’s incredibly special.
Once that trust is built, Halo blossoms into a deeply affectionate companion. She’ll shower you with love through endless head bumps, loud purring, and joyful flopping onto the ground into full roller polly mode. She’ll happily show her belly, soak up head scratches, and even enjoy gentle belly rubs. It’s a beautiful transformation to witness.
Halo’s past is largely unknown. What we do know is that she was once someone’s pet and was surrendered to the council with a severely damaged eye, which sadly had to be removed only a few weeks ago. Understandably, she is still adjusting to life with one eye and to a whole new world around her. This likely explains why she can be cautious at times.
Her foster carer has noticed that quick movements, especially hands approaching from the side where her eye was removed, can startle her when she’s frightened. Because of this, Halo would thrive in a calm, patient home with someone who understands her need for gentle interactions, predictable routines, and time to feel safe.
In return for your patience, Halo will give you the most tender, quiet kind of love. She’s incredibly sweet and finds comfort in simply being near her person. She’ll happily join you on the couch or sleep beside you on the bed, not demanding attention or sitting on your lap, but resting close by and quietly enjoying her newfound peace.
Halo is cat friendly and would do well either as an only cat or in a home with existing resident cats. She would suit a calm household where her boundaries are respected, and her confidence can continue to grow.
If you’re someone who understands that the deepest bonds are built slowly, Halo may be your perfect match. A gentle soul ready to love, once she knows she’s safe 🤍✨
Medical notes
Halo has recently had one eye surgically removed. She has been fully cleared by her vets, the site has healed beautifully, and she has made a complete recovery. This will not affect her day-to-day life. Cats who have had an eye removed continue to live healthy, happy, and completely normal lives.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
