Henry

Meet Henry the 2 and half year old maltese X cuddle expert. Henry is sweet, gentle and smart boy who is looking for a lap to curl up on.

While he can be a little shy when meeting some people for the first time, his hesitant side quickly melts away once he realizes he’s found a new friend. Henry’s favorite hobby is "cuddling." He thrives on human attention and affection.

Henry absolutely adores children (and the feeling is mutual!). He would be a fantastic addition to a family.

He has been living happily with Bella, a 10-year-old Staffy. They are "thick as thieves," and Henry would likely love a home with a doggy sibling to keep him company.

Henry is highly food-motivated (he’s even been known to "help" Bella finish her dinner!). This makes him very trainable with the right treats.

Henry enjoys his walks but prefers shorter strolls over long hikes. He is doing great on the lead! Even if other dogs bark at him, Henry stays calm and doesn't bark back.

He is still working on his "indoor manners." While he knows how to use a doggy door, he hasn't quite mastered toilet training yet and needs a patient owner who can provide consistent, gentle reinforcement. Because he is so smart, he should pick this up quickly with a routine!

Henry’s Wishlist:

A family ideally with children that gives lots of pats and belly rubs.

A doggy friend (optional, but preferred).

Someone patient to help him finish his potty training.

Short, fun walks around the block.
