Some dogs just carry a quiet wisdom about them. Noradara is one of those dogs.

She is a gentle, soulful girl with a calm presence and a heart full of kindness. Noradara came into care at 38 kg and heavily pregnant, and safely raised a big, beautiful litter of pups with us. It was not her first litter unfortunately, but she took motherhood in her stride and was the most devoted mum.

Now that her parenting days are behind her, it is finally her turn to be cherished.

She has blossomed into a 43 kg girl, which the vet says means it might be time for a few less treats. I must admit I was completely powerless against those eyes and may have indulged her a little too much.

Noradara is generally very good with other dogs. She carries herself with a quiet confidence and can come across as a bit of a matriarch, so many dogs naturally give her a respectful amount of space. Because of this she would be perfectly happy as an only dog soaking up all the love, or she could live with a calm male companion who appreciates her steady and wise nature.

She knows and responds to lots of words, walks nicely on lead, and comes when called. She is a thoughtful dog who really seems to take in the world around her.

At home she is peaceful and patient. She waits quietly for you to return and settles beautifully.

When you meet Noradara she greets you with a gentle wag and a big happy smile. She also believes any open car door is clearly an invitation to hop in. Any car will do… even a brand new one with beautiful leather seats on a muddy day.

She is clever enough to investigate the rubbish if it is left within reach, which simply means she will keep you on your toes and make you smile.

Noradara deserves a truly special home where she can finally be the one being cared for.
