About Dove STA013705
Dove is a stunning lady with a captivating presence that draws you in. Her journey has been one of resilience and courage, as she arrived at our care as a very scared and nervous stray with little reason to trust humans. Yet, despite her challenging past, Dove's inner beauty and sweet nature prevail.
It’s been a long but worthwhile journey with Dove, and she has made remarkable progress during her time in foster care. Once settled, she’s shown herself to be quite affectionate and even exhibits a calm curiosity towards visitors. Dove's gentle personality comes with a few rough edges, which only add to her uniqueness and charm. She's a work in progress, which makes the moments she shares all the more rewarding as she gradually learns to trust and love those around her.
Dove's ideal setting is a quiet home where routines are well-established, and her new family can provide plenty of patience and understanding. It's imperative to respect her boundaries and allow her the time she needs to get comfortable in her new environment. While she prefers not to share her space with canines or children, her heart truly shines when she's around fellow felines. She adores their company and learns from their behaviors, making it essential for her to have a friendly feline companion in her new home.
If you're seeking a special cat with endearing depth, Dove may be the one. With gentle care and understanding, you'll be rewarded with the affection of a true feline gem.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
