Monners is a friendly boy with a very loving nature. He is a pretty relaxed fellow most of the time. He is active and loves his daily walks, where he always gets comments for his good looks and charm! He's good on the lead generally although can mirror over enthusiastic dogs approaching him and get excited, so would benefit ongoing attention to perfecting those leash skills with him. With some dedicated training and consistency it should improve. He is good in the car.

Monners loves playtime and his absolute favourite game is fun with the hose; but he also enjoys his rope toys. He does get excited sometimes and uses his strength to get as close as possible to his human! He does calm down quickly, but will need his owners to be consistent in reminding him how to get attention politely. Rewards are usually very effective in training dogs that good things happen if they keep their paws grounded.

Monners is great with other dogs so could be a fantastic second dog. He's not interested in chasing wildlife at all. We are told Monners has lived successfully with cats previously, however he has not come into contact with cats since being in our care so we are unable to confirm his compatibility.

Due to his bounciness, Monners is best suited to a home with adults or a family with older kids/teens rather than little ones. Anyone who's had a boofa dog before will love his happy personality and joy of life, and should be able to give him some boundaries through rewards-based training. Monners is a really sweet boy just waiting for his perfect family.

Adoption fee includes vet check, vaccination, microchip (including transfer of ownership fee), flea and worm treatment and sterilisation.

ADOPTION NOTES
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your own dog if applicable), a home check (or photos of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.

All adoption fees must be deposited into our SAFE Bunbury bank account in full before adoption trial starts (we cannot accept cash). The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.

After the adoption trial period has been completed we arrange transfer of ownership of the dog's microchip to the new owner, and email out the vet records.
