About Ethel Byrne
Meet Ethel Byrne, our gorgeous one-eyed girl!
Ethel first came to us as a pregnant stray, and had a litter of kittens shortly after arriving. She spent some time in foster care, being a wonderful mum to her babies, and is now ready for a peaceful, loving, forever home. She has been slightly overwhelmed by the transition from life on the streets to the shelter and her foster home, and can be timid. However, Ethel has been slowly developing her confidence, and with a bit of patience and a lot of love, is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.
During her time here, Ethel has had her right eye removed due to a medical condition. This truly has not stopped her at all, and she is now pain-free and much happier. Despite having already been a mum, Ethel is barely out of kittenhood herself at a year old - she has bursts of playful energy, and would a home with plenty of toys, games, and enrichment activity. After a long day, Ethel loves nothing more than a cosy, warm spot to curl up in and rest.
Ethel hasn't had many interactions with other cats in the shelter, but we believe she could live with one if given a slow, careful introduction. She is an absolutely lovely girl who is looking forward to a sharing her life with her forever family. Could that be you? Come down to our North Melbourne shelter today to meet her!
All cats from the Lost Dogs Home come desexed microchipped, vaccinated, and flea and worm treated.
