About Matt Damon
Matt Damon is a beautiful, gentle coonhound with a huge heart and a strong desire for connection. He’s a big, soft baby who truly loves love — companionship, trust, and being close to his human matter deeply to him.
Fit, young, and eager to please, Matt Damon is intelligent, food-motivated, playful, and affectionate. And yes… those ears are something special.
He’s currently living indoors in foster care with another dog and is learning what home life is all about. He settles well, enjoys routine, and while he may try to claim the bed, he’s respectful of boundaries and will stay off the furniture unless invited.
He is not suited to a home with young or rowdy kids, and he is not tested with cats.
Matt Damon can be unsure of new things and unfamiliar environments, as he’s had limited exposure to traffic, cars, and busy settings. When he’s worried, he looks to his human for reassurance and guidance. He’s seeking a calm, patient advocate — someone he can trust to help him navigate the world. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, affection, and a strong bond. His bark is impressive, but his nature is gentle.
As a coonhound, Matt Damon has an exceptional nose — generations of breeding have gifted him with incredible scenting ability. He would greatly benefit from a home that encourages scent-based enrichment or training, giving him a positive outlet to use his natural talents and build confidence.
This stunning, rare-breed coonhound has enormous potential in the right home. With kindness, consistency, and time, Matt Damon will continue to grow into an extraordinary companion.
Matt Damon isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for his person.
Medical notes
Matt Damon is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
He is in perfect health.
