Raya

*In foster care in Petersham, Sydney*

Sweet Raya is a lovely mixture; she values her independence but also adores strokes and chin scratches and having daily debriefs with her foster carer!

While happy to snooze the hours away - whether on the bed or in a comfy hidey hole, or on a sunny windowsill where she can keep a sleepy eye on the world - she likes to welcome her carer home with a chatty greeting. Getting cosy on a lap or being picked up aren't Raya's thing, but she craves long pats by your side, purring and drooling and making biscuits to show her appreciation :)

Raya's also a very playful girl, chasing toy balls or the laser dot to her heart's content. A good play session in the evening before she settles down for the night is her favourite way to wrap up the day!

Like all Maggie’s pets, Raya is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be quiet and calm, with adults only or older children (13+) who know to take things slowly and give me my space. Humans are awesome and I love my foster carer very much, but I do need a little bit of time to get used to new people, so please note that I won't be running to meet your visitors!

MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm at an age where I'm still a kitten in many ways, but I definitely have plenty of chill too. At night I like to sleep at the end of my foster carer's bed, where I tend to sleep through without stirring :)

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I suspect that I might enjoy the company of kind and considerate teenagers, but younger kids won't be a good match.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: As far as cats go, there's potential, I think! There's another cat of similar age in my foster home and we coexist peacefully, though I wouldn't call us friends. As long as your resident cat respects my space we're likely to chug along fine.

I'm unfamiliar with dogs at this stage.
