About Shadow
Meet Shadow: an 11-year-old sweetheart with eyes that will melt your heart.
Shadow was heartbreakingly dumped on a doorstep at just six weeks old, but her life changed when she was taken to the local vet and a kind staff member took her home and loved her for many years.
Six months ago her world changed after she & her owner escaped a domestic violence situation. Sadly her owner had nowhere pet-friendly to go, leaving Shadow boarding at a vet clinic while a new future was sought for her. Desperate to give her the chance she so deeply deserves, her owner reached out to us to help her get her Ninth Life.
Shadow is a beautiful soul, a lovely mix of affection and gentle independence. She loves human company, enjoys head pats and long, soothing strokes and while she’s not usually a lap cat, winter turns her into a cuddly heat-seeker. She also has a playful side and enjoys wand-toy playtime bringing out her inner kitten.
Shadow loves dogs and has lived peacefully with them. She prefers to keep her distance from other cats but has never been aggressive towards them. She hasn’t lived with children before, but we believe calm, older children who respect her space would be just fine.
If you’re searching for a gentle, affectionate, yet independent companion who will reward you with loyalty, quiet devotion and playful moments, Shadow is the perfect match for you.

Adoption details
You need to be a pretty special cat person to adopt an elderly cat into your home. Not as sprightly as a kitten they still require your attention…even devotion. You’ll need to understand their daily routines and take some time to get to know them. Help them with grooming – a great way to bond- as they often don’t have the energy to do it properly themselves. Older cats are stress averse so be patient, observant and take a little more care of their health needs and you’ll soon have a loving companion.
All our cats have received a full health & wellness check and are ready for their new home.
