Meet our sweet Pomeranian boy Teddy 🐾

Teddy, a handsome 3 year old Pomeranian weighs around 7kg and is looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy the simple things in life. He’s has recently started to enjoy the outdoors and he much prefers short, relaxed walks (15–25 minutes is perfect for him), backyard playtime, and lots of indoor fun and staying close to his humans when in public spaces.

His ideal home would be adult only or without young children, with someone who enjoys being home and doesn’t travel too often. While he can manage being left home alone if someone works outside the house, he truly thrives when his people are home and able to give him quality time, attention, and affection. Teddy has yet to be tested with dogs or cats but has been so sweet with free roaming chickens and bunnies… not bothering to play with them, but simply observe and spend time together. He could be a great with a cat in the home, dogs unsure.

He has short bursts of energy several times a day, loving 15-minute play sessions about 2–5 times daily. These can be indoors or outdoors, agility games, toys, and mental stimulation are some of his favourite things. He absolutely adores cuddles, pets, treats, and having lots of toys to keep him entertained. He also loves kicking back with a good bone and enjoying being around his loved ones.

He has taken very well to training and already knows sit, lay down, give paw, and wait. He’s walking well on a lead and continues to improve, though he would still benefit from ongoing training to help build confidence and reinforce good habits.

He does bark when he’s feeling uneasy, when people come to the door, or if he hears loud noises (this has improved a lot), so a detached home would be ideal. Apartment or condo living could work, but it would require patience and a gentle transition.

Overall, he’s a loving, affectionate little companion who would be happiest with someone ready to give him attention, routine, and a peaceful life full of play, comfort, and love.

PLEASE NOTE : Teddy has luxating patella in one of his hind legs which will require surgery in the new year, the cost of which will be covered by Forever Friends, and 12 weeks rehabilitation. His new home will need to be prepared to follow his rehabilitation plan so Teddy can fully recover and live pain free.
