NOTE: You are unable to meet Lexi until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Lexi in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family and not left outside 24/7 with no interaction.
• I like both male and female dogs, but I prefer the company of dogs my own size and similar nature. I am NOT keen on bigger boisterous dogs
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy, and we must be introduced slowly.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or not holes or gaps I can squeeze through)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidently scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok
• I can be shy at first, especially with men, so I need a family who’ll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time. A few pats and kind words and i warm up quickly.

My best features:

• Wiggle butt
• Gentle & placid
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I know my basic doggie commands
• I appear housetrained, with a little refresher I should remember.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch
• I walk well on lead for a young doggo but having daily walks should help me improve my lead skills

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue with my socialization

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET LEXI BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
