Hi, I’m Johnny – Help Mend my Broken Heart
I’m a tan, smooth-haired miniature dachshund weighing 8kg, and I’m looking for my
forever family.
If you can offer me a loving home with companionship, understanding, and plenty of
playtime, I might just be the perfect little guy for you.
A Little About Me
I’m a deeply loving and very affectionate boy with a gentle nature and a big heart. I
form strong bonds with my people and my dog friends, and I truly thrive on
companionship. I recently lost my brother, which has been really hard for me, so I’m
hoping to find a home where I won’t feel alone again.
I’d love to live with other dogs — especially another dachshund — as having canine
company helps me feel safe, settled, and happy. With the right furry friends and
loving humans, I promise to give endless loyalty and affection in return.
My Personality
I’m well trained and eager to please. I absolutely love playing fetch with my tennis
ball or Kong, and I’m quite the runner when it’s playtime! I enjoy exercise, but I also
adore cuddles and being close to my people, which makes me a great all-round
bestie!
I enjoy regular walks and active playtime but also happy to relax on the couch when
my family is home. I sleep at night in my own bed beside my people. I have no food
or toy aggression, and I’m currently working on my anxiety when left home alone –
not a big fan!
• House trained: I’ll sit at the door to let you know when I need to go outside
• Walking & travel: I enjoy walks and car rides and I’m working on not pulling when
passing other dogs
• Social: I love meeting people and getting plenty of pats; I’m still building confidence
around other dogs when we’re out and about

I would flourish with:
• Patient and loving owners who will keep helping me build confidence
• Another friendly dog (a dachshund would be perfect!)
• A secure yard for play and bathroom breaks
