Snow Pea is a staffy on stumps, but don’t let those shorter legs fool you, she can fly-kiss you on the mouth, mainly when you get home from work as she can’t contain her excitement. This is also her favourite time to zoom around you in circles while playfully bouncing around. She honestly gives the best welcomes I’ve had from a foster in years!
Under her smooth blue velvety coat and rippling muscles, she is the sweetest cuddliest girl. She gives full body wags at least 90% of the time and loves to be called a good girl. She stands about the same height as the resident dog who’s only 10kg but is a thicc 23kg. She is sometimes a little shy when meeting men but is quickly won over by pats.
She is crate trained. Knows sit and will wait for her food. She’s just started learning how fun toys can be.
Like every good staffy she snores and farts like a trooper, enjoys a good back scratch and sunbake on the grass and will chase all the birds away. She offers a paw like it’s a sport, endless kisses and 24/7 pats are her main objectives.
Snow Pea currently lives with two small male staffy x’s and they get along like a house on fire. She gives full body baths and follows them everywhere. They rumble and snooze on repeat.
She came into the pound with a pup and it is highly likely she had never left her yard and was not socialised early as she can be lead reactive towards dogs. Anyone that’s owned a staffy will know they make the weirdest noises when they’re excited or being intense - think pig squeals/chirps/gremlin sounds at high decibels - it’s not the prettiest thing to see or hear. It’s for this reason she would be best suited to live away from very inner city areas where there are less dogs out and about, at least until she can learn to tone it down.
It’s clear she can make (and loves!) doggy friends but will need slow intros over time. Once she’s comfortable, you’d never know she was reactive. She’s never so much as growled at her foster fur brothers. She would love to live with another dog, though could equally be the only dog in the home as long as her family is around or she will cry for you.
She will need an owner who is breed experienced and understands she’s not going to be a dog park or cafe dog and will require time and dedication to training with her walking and socialising. In return she will make you feel like the most loved and special person in the world, as she falls hard for her humans and does her best to show this love daily.
She will be a tough one to let go and is going to make her forever humans hearts very full with her big love and goofy personality 🥹
