About:
Fuschia – Soft, Soulful, and Full of Quiet Love
Fuschia’s story begins with heartbreak. She and her sister Nila were found inside their home, lying beside their beloved owner who had passed away several days earlier. Their world had ended quietly and suddenly, and when Fuschia came into care, she wasn’t sure if she was safe anymore.
Affectionately known as FuFu by her carer, this fluffy, one-eyed girl spent her first days in care hiding, unsure whether it was safe to trust again. But patience, kindness and consistency worked their magic — and one unforgettable night, Fuschia climbed onto the bed and curled up for cuddles. From that moment on, she has continued to blossom into the most devoted little companion.
Fuschia is beautifully, hilariously quirky. When she’s happy — really happy — she doesn’t just purr… she drools. Not a polite, ladylike dribble, but full-blown, bubbly, joy-filled love drool. Think Labrador spotting a snack. It’s impossible not to laugh and fall a little bit more in love with her.
She’s a champion biscuit-maker, a nighttime cuddle connoisseur, and her favourite place in the world is pressed up against her human with her purr motor running. Despite her gentle nature, she’s grown confident in her foster home, often leading the way for her sister and exploring her surroundings with quiet curiosity. She has also adapted beautifully to the resident Cocker Spaniel — cautious at first, but now calmly coexisting without fuss.
Fuschia adores her people, but she can still be nervous around strangers and loud noises. She will thrive in a calm, patient home that allows her to continue building confidence at her own pace.
As a long-haired lady, Fuschia does need regular brushing to keep her coat comfortable and free of mats — something she tolerates well when paired with gentle hands and reassurance.
While Fuschia is not formally bonded with her sister Nila, the girls do share a quiet emotional connection. They often seek each other out for reassurance when something startles them, and there is comfort in their familiarity. It would be truly special if they could find a forever home together — not because they must, but because they help each other feel safe.
Fuschia is the kind of cat who doesn’t just live with you — she bonds deeply, loves wholeheartedly, and reminds you every day how special quiet, earned trust can be.
Fuschia is a tender, trusting soul who loves deeply once she knows she’s home. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion and have room in your heart for a cat who has known loss — Fuschia will repay that kindness with unwavering love.
Please note: As all our cats live in foster homes, a completed Meet & Greet application is required before we can arrange a visit.
