Meet JabberJaws – A Gentleman Looking for His Golden Years Home
JabberJaws is an Aussie Bulldog X with a heart of gold and a soul that’s ready to slow down and soak up the good life. He’s officially in his *retirement era* and is searching for the perfect calm, loving family to share it with.
This handsome boy **adores cuddles** and human company. If attention were a currency, JabberJaws would be rich — he lives for pats, praise and being everyone’s favourite (which he very quickly becomes). Even the vets are smitten! During a recent visit for X-rays, he was so patient and relaxed that he didn’t even need sedation — he was just happy soaking up the love. Bonus points: the vet team was also very impressed with his healthy weight 👏
At home, JabberJaws is a happy-go-lucky, easygoing soul. He enjoys short, sniffy walks, pottering around the garden, and relaxing in a peaceful environment. He’s showing some age-related stiffness in his back legs, so a quiet home with minimal stairs is ideal. He’s not a fan of steps and will need a ramp or a helpful human for car rides — but he’ll repay you in devotion tenfold.
Being a bulldog, temperature control is important. JabberJaws needs easy access to both inside and outside, with air conditioning in warmer weather to keep him comfortable. He’s a master of cooling himself down — you’ll often find him frogging dramatically on the cool tiles, striking a pose that somehow makes him even more endearing. And when he’s really relaxed? Out pops his signature snaggle tooth, which is perfectly on brand for a dog named JabberJaws.
He’s:
* ✔️ Toilet trained
* ✔️ Great with kids (even plays Cluedo with our 11-year-old — yes, really)
* ✔️ Dog-friendly , happily living with a resident female Boxer.
* ✔️ Loves water play in the clam pool
JabberJaws isn’t after hikes, chaos or constant activity. He’s after soft beds, gentle routines, sunny gardens, kind humans and a slower pace of life. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion, a world-class cuddler, and the very best kind of dog — the one who already knows who he is.
If you’re looking for a senior dog who will fit seamlessly into your life and fill your home with warmth, JabberJaws might just be your perfect match.
Medical notes: JabberJaws has age related spine degeneration which can slow him down from time to time on walks/stairs. This condition can cause degenerative changes in the future. He will need a family who is willing to have regular vet checks and he may require pain relief in the future to ensure he is comfortable.
