Buddy is the kind of dog who wins hearts without even trying. Everyone who has spent time with him at the shelter describes him as friendly, engaging, and genuinely happy to meet new people. He thrives on human connection and would love a home where someone is around often to share his days, his adventures, and his big, expressive personality.

On walks, Buddy can get a little excited and pull at times, but he responds well when gently guided. With ongoing training and socialization, he’ll continue to grow into his best self. He’s slightly food‑motivated — just enough to make training fun — and he absolutely lights up when a ball comes out. Playtime is one of his favorite ways to bond.

Buddy enjoys the company of other dogs, though he can be a bit rude in his greetings and may get vocal when passing dogs on the street. Because of this, he’ll do best as the only dog in the home, where he can relax, learn at his own pace, and soak up all the attention. With patience and consistency, he’ll continue building confidence and good manners.
