About Apollo
Well hi there! I’m Apollo!
BUT do not get confused I am no Greek God of the Sun. In fact the sun and I aren’t really friends.
I am a 3yr old border collie boy looking for a pasty human or a sun avoider…someone who already puts on 50+ sunscreen and a hat to go to the park… I have a condition called Lupus and the sun’s UV causes my nose to get sores on it.
Let’s take shady tree or moonlit strolls, so I can practice my gentle 'good boy' lead walking. We could go for an early morning play at the park and then let me flop at your feet while you work from home, or I’d love having a doggy sibling to keep me company if you have to leave me to work (I am loving my foster siblings).
Do not be fooled.. I may look like a border collie but I have the personality of a golden retriever..
That famous border collie work ethic? Non existent. Puzzle feeders? No thanks! Herding instinct? Mmm nope.. I avoid my foster family’s bunny at all costs. Chasing a ball? Absolutely! But I’m rather clumsy and I don’t like it if you throw it too far. I’m a medium energy dog at best!
Kids though? Oh boy do I love them! If you ever can’t find me.. I’m flopped next to the kids while they play.
A Christmas wish you ask?
My very own people.. especially ones that give great butt scratches, someone who will stare into my glacial blue eyes while I give gentle sloppy kisses… perhaps a doggy pal I can follow around.. maybe a few kids I can play and snuggle with.
My New Year’s resolution?
To lose a few kgs.. but what kind of New Year’s resolution doesn’t start with a weight loss journey?
If you have ever dreamed of owning a living, breathing, ball of fluff.. I am your boy!!
***Apollo is located in NSW....
Medical notes
