About Apollo
Well HI there! I’m Apollo! A 3yr old male Merle Border Collie… BUT do not get confused I am no Greek God of the Sun. In fact the sun and I aren’t really friends.
I am looking for a pasty human or a sun avoider…someone who already puts on 50+ sunscreen and a hat to go to the park (because me too)…I have a condition called lupus and the suns UV causes my nose to get sores on it. Let’s take moonlit strolls or go for an early morning play at the park.
Do not be fooled.. I may look like a border collie but I have the personality of a golden retriever.. That famous border collie work ethic? Non existent.. I’m medium energy and if it seems like a lot of effort I’m probably going to ask for a cuddle instead. High prey or movement drive? Good joke. The smarts? Ahhh next question. Agile and coordinated? More like clumsy! I am a dream to walk and I love a slow meandering sniff along the footpath!
Kids? Oh boy do I love them! If you ever can’t find me.. I’m flopped next to the kids while they play. I’m a big boy though so they will need to be ok with 33kgs of fluffy love galloping towards them or leaning on them.
Ideally I would like to be someone’s world.. because I’ll be sure to make them mine! Someone home more often than not where I’m always allowed inside to curl up at your feet. I want nothing more than to follow you around or to sit pressed against you.
I really love other dogs too BUT I am socially awkward (shhh …I don’t realise this) so would need a very chilled out/medium-low energy doggy companion (think Labrador level of unbothered) and an owner who understands the social skills I am lacking.
If you have ever dreamed of owning a living, breathing, ball of fluff.. I am your boy
Apollo is located in NSW.
Medical notes
MEDICALNOTES: Apollo has Lupus. To help control lesion breakouts he has 1 x Apoquel twice daily. He needs dog friendly sunscreen applied to his nose and limited extended periods outdoors.
