About Benny
Bermuda, affectionately known as Benny, is an eight month old German Shepherd who sadly found himself alone and unwanted in a pound. Despite his difficult start, this beautiful young boy has shown nothing but gentleness and a desire to bond.
Benny is a smaller male Shepherd, currently weighing around 18kg. He has a calm, placid nature and is not the type to jump all over you. Instead, he quietly sits beside you and leans in for gentle affection, he is a true heart-melter who simply wants to feel safe and loved.
Since arriving in foster care, Benny has blossomed into a sweet, confident pup. He enjoys his daily runs with his German Shepherd and Kelpie friends, benefiting greatly from the space to stretch his legs and the comfort of a nurturing home environment.
Benny walks beautifully on lead and already has some basic obedience established. With continued guidance and patience, he will grow into a loyal, well-mannered companion.
Benny is a special young dog with so much potential, now he just needs the right family to give him the future he deserves.
We always recommend to continue training when you take your dog home. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new dog.
Benny has not been tested with cats or pocket pets.
Benny is currently available for adoption in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making him a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet him. Should he, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing him back to Sydney or helping us rehome him from your home.

We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
