Meet Gazza,
This little guy found himself in the pound in quite a terrible state. He had terrible skin with lots of hair loss and on top of all this, he appears to have allergies. We have treated the skin infection and his hair is slowly growing back, though this will take some time. He has also started monthly injections to help with his allergies and this will likely need to be ongoing.

We’re not sure on his past, though we are guessing there has been some trauma in his life. Most of the time he is a confident, playful pooch though at times he can be quite timid, cowering and keeping his distance, even with people he knows and is comfortable with.

Gaz is good with other dogs and has so far been ok with the resident cats who are very dog savvy, though I do believe if a cat was to run, he definitely would chase it!

Gaz is a solid, yet little dude with a very big appetite! He really does love his food, to the point of needing a slow feeder bowl and you need to watch your fingers when giving treats! We have been working on not snatching and he is making progress, though this is something that will require ongoing training. Due to his excitement for food, he is not suitable for a family with young children.

Gaz has slept both outside and inside since being in care and his toilet training is a work in progress. To help with this we have started crate training, which is coming along nicely.
Gazza is a smart boy who just wants to be loved. He appears to have had minimal training or life experience prior to coming into care, so he’s looking for a family who will continue his training so he grows into a well mannered pooch.
Gaz is great in the car and walks nicely on the lead, he does really enjoy going for a walk. With some time, patients and training, Gaz will be a lovely addition to any family looking for a small companion to take on adventures and share their lives with.
