About Cayenne
Meet Cayenne, an independent and enigmatic feline with a world of charm that reveals itself as you get to know her better. While she's initially shy and timid around humans, she's making great strides in building her trust, flourishing in an understanding and patient environment.
Cayenne truly is a cat's cat, thriving in the company of other felines, and she would do best in a home where she could share her days with another friendly cat companion. She's gradually learning to snuggle with her human companions and enjoys a gentle play session with an array of toys, often showcasing her playful side with her favorite cat friend. Creamy treats are her weakness; offer one her way, and you might just see her purr with delight!
When it comes to her forever home, Cayenne craves the companionship and presence of another cat to bring out her true playful personality. She's a sweet soul who, with time, will undoubtedly bring warmth and playfulness to a home committed to nurturing her curiosity and companionship. Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
