About Beryl STA014162
Meet Beryl, a resilient and beautiful tortoiseshell with a truly remarkable spirit. Though life has been tough, Beryl is gradually learning to relax and enjoy the comforts of a warm bed, delicious treats, and human companionship. Her striking tortoiseshell pattern serves as a testament to her resourceful nature and determination to thrive on her own terms.
Beryl is in search of a quiet and experienced home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. Her journey has taught her the value of trust, and with your loving guidance, she will become an incredibly loyal and cherished feline friend. Beryl enjoys the simple pleasures of life, and as she becomes more comfortable, her affectionate side begins to shine through, revealing a truly gentle soul.
Given her FIV+ status, Beryl is best suited for an indoor-only environment, ensuring her safety and wellbeing. A home without children or canines would be ideal, allowing Beryl to enjoy a peaceful, serene setting as she continues to adapt and grow. Time and patience will be your biggest allies in helping Beryl relax and trust, but the reward of her companionship will be more than worth the wait.
If you have the compassion and understanding to welcome Beryl into your life, she promises to be a source of joy, warmth, and quiet strength.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
