About Bear
Meet Bear, an outgoing little Chihuahua with a huge heart. Weighing in at just 1.2 kg, Bear is a lively and social companion who brings joy and energy into every room he enters. Despite his small stature, he's packed with personality and loves to embark on new adventures and make new friends.
Bear has a real attachment to little dogs, and having a fellow small canine companion in his new home would make him absolutely ecstatic. He's cautious yet curious about larger dogs and seems comfortable around cats, although his playful nature might be more than your cat is used to. Bear is an extroverted pup, but he needs time to trust fully and will bark to initiate play or seek attention.
While he enjoys outdoor escapades, Bear is still learning the ins and outs of lead training. He's in the early stages of recall training and can get easily distracted by intriguing sights and scents, but his eagerness to please and intelligence suggest that with patient guidance, he'll excel in no time.
Bear's ideal family would have the time and patience for his training needs while offering him a loving and accepting environment. Whether it's cuddling on the couch or exploring the backyard, Bear is ready to fill his future home with endless love and laughter. If you're seeking a charming little mate with oodles of enthusiasm, Bear is your perfect match.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
