About Scruffy
Meet Scruffy – the dog everyone wishes they had
Scruffy is a 3-year-old Scottish Terrier x Maltese, and honestly… they don’t come any more perfect than this little guy.
Scruffy is incredible with kids – he’s happy to be picked up, cuddled, and handled gently, and takes everything in his stride. He loves a car ride and will happily wait patiently for you while you duck into the shops. He is calm, sensible, and just wants to be near his people.
He is fantastic with other dogs of all sizes and is completely unfazed by them. Scruffy is also good with cats and shows no interest in chasing chickens or livestock, making him an easy fit for homes big or small, rural or town.
Scruffy is almost toilet trained and is happy to sleep either indoors or outdoors. He doesn’t escape, wander, or try to run away – home is where his people are. He has excellent recall, knows his name, and has all his basic commands sorted.
He is great to groom, never nippy, and has none of that “small dog syndrome.” Scruffy is quiet, doesn’t bark or yap, and has a really good sense around cars and farm machinery.
On walks, Scruffy is a dream. He loves getting out and about, walks beautifully on lead, and off lead will simply stroll along beside you. At home, he’s happiest following you around, keeping you company, and being part of whatever you’re doing.
Scruffy truly is one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs – calm, loyal, gentle, and endlessly easy to love. Whoever adopts him is gaining an absolute best friend.
