Nicole arrived at the shelter feeling very overwhelmed, especially as she came in with her two young kittens to care for. The busy shelter environment was a lot for this gentle girl, so she headed off to foster care to help build her confidence - and what a beautiful transformation we saw.

In her foster home, Nicole took some time to come out of her shell, but once she discovered her love of treats (Greenies are her absolute favourite!), along with pats and scritches, she truly blossomed. She began rubbing against legs, purring loudly, and greeting her carers with the sweetest little meows. It showed us just how affectionate she can be once she feels safe.

Now that Nicole is back in the shelter, she's understandably scared again and spending time hiding. We know, though, from her time in foster that in a calm home environment she will settle, relax, and let her lovely personality shine through once more.

Nicole can be hesitant around people and may retreat to a safe hiding spot when spooked, but she is an absolute sweetheart. Her foster carer reports that she never once displayed worrying behaviours, even when she needed to be handled. A tasty treat is usually all it takes to help her feel comfortable and happy again! She does enjoy play and will get the occasional zoomies, often choosing quiet moments when the house is calm.

With patience, gentle care, and a few Greenies along the way, Nicole will blossom back into the affectionate, purring girl her foster family fell in love with. If you have a calm home and a big heart for a shy cat who just needs time, Nicole could be your perfect match
