About Mahogany
Mahogany may be petite but she has a bold personality.
She was found by a dog walker as a dehydrated and starving baby alongside her deceased sibling and parent, she quickly recovered and became the nosiest bird in the flock. That temporary starvation as a baby stunted her growth, so she'll always be a smaller frame.
She taught herself to eat seed at an extra young age, with no help. In fact, she kept overeating (and sneaking into other pigeons' enclosures to steal their food) so much that she needed regular locking up to give her time to actually digest everything before shoving more food in.
Personal space? Not in her vocabulary! Whether you're a human or a pigeon, she demands to know what you're doing.
She's a real adventurer - and likes to recruit herself a partner in crime. Her first roommate was Gonzo, a fellow bossy lady, until Gonzo kicked Mahogany out so her boyfriend Mothman could move in.
Mahogany's current sidekick is Pecky, who is also up for adoption if you'd like a friend for Mahogany.
Her favourite space to hang out is human's head. She'll play with your hair, nibble your ears, and make herself extremely comfortable on you. Her carer is WFH, so Mahogany currently spends her days constantly flitting around between human's head, the windowsill, and bothering the other pigeons. If she were a human, she'd probably have ADHD.
This clever, extroverted little pigeon will thrive with lots of attention, and ideally a buddy to keep her entertained when you're busy.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
