NOTE: You are unable to meet Torvi until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Torvi in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family and not left outside 24/7 with no interaction.
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy, and we must be introduced slowly.
• Secure Fencing (no gaps or holes I could escape from)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidently scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok
• A quiet & mature family/household - this is what I am used too
• I am not super fond of being picked up, but once I have connected with you and have relaxed into my new home I will happily come sit on your lap.
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence

My best features:
• Gentle, placid & loving soul
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans (once I'm settled and comfortable)
• I know my basic doggie commands
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other gentle friendly dogs
• I appear housetrained
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I appear to possibly be scared of thunder & fireworks. I will require a safe space to retreat to during these events as well as comfort and reassurance from my family.
• I am extremely timid in new situations such as entering a building/home. I MUST have a family who'll allow me inside so I can see it isn't a scary place and to allow my confidence to grow.
• I need a nice quiet home with no young children (under 12 years) As I get easily spooked, I need time and space so I can get used to my new home and learn that I'm safe and loved.
• I am happy to socialise with other dogs however once I have bonded with my people I become possessive of them. For this reason I can not go to a home with an existing dog.

AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE CANNOT COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET TORVI IN PERSON.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET TORVI BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
