About Wilson
Meet Wilson, a big-hearted ragdoll cross who just wants someone to love 🧡.
After multiple homes in just two years, Wilson is hoping the next one will finally be forever. Through no fault of his own, this handsome boy has had a rough start, with people wanting him for his beautiful looks, but not understanding the long-term commitment. Our hearts break for Wilson, but he’s proving time and time again just how tolerant, affectionate, and resilient he really is.
Wilson is a friendly and chatty boy who loves to be near his people. He’ll happily sit beside you on the couch, supervise your dinner prep, or keep you company while you read. He’s not a lap cat, and that’s okay, he prefers companionship over being held like a baby. He’s always up for a chin scratch and a gentle pat, and he greets his foster carer warmly every day.
This independent boy asks only for kindness, routine, and respect. Wilson can become overstimulated with too much handling, especially being picked up, but he’s wonderfully communicative and gives clear signals when he needs space. In the right home, where his body language is respected, he’ll let down the boundaries he built when his space wasn’t respected, and become the easy-going, affectionate companion he really wants to be.
Wilson gets along fine with other cats but doesn’t actively seek out their company, he’s quite content doing his own thing. He’d be just as happy as the only cat in the household or sharing space with another calm, friendly feline who enjoys respectful company. He hasn’t been tested with dogs, but due to his friendly and calm nature, he could adjust to a quiet, cat-friendly dog with slow introductions.
Because of his past experiences, Wilson is looking for a calm, stable home without young or boisterous children. Respectful kids aged six and up would be fine, provided they understand how to give him space when he asks and don’t expect a cat to be their toy or at their command.
He’s an indoor-only cat who enjoys gentle company, regular brushing (to keep his beautiful coat looking its best), and peaceful moments spent nearby his favourite humans.
Despite everything he’s been through, Wilson still trusts and believes in the best of people. He’s simply waiting for the right home and the right person to find him, and let him love them for a long, long time.
