About Merv -3 Month Old German Shepherd X
Meet Merv, the German Shepherd X pup who’s ready to be your best friend.
Merv is a 3 month old German Shepherd X. He is the sweetest boy and wants to be a part of the family! He loves to wrestle with his foster siblings before having a nap filled with big dreams and the most gentle little snores.
Since coming into care Merv is learning very quickly how to be a part of the home. He is doing excellent at his toilet training and will take himself outside when he needs to go. He has mastered sit (as long as you have a treat in your hand), and is learning drop, wait, come, and more. He will need someone committed to his ongoing training.
Merv has been raised with other dogs, both large and small and would love an adult dog as a companion, teacher, and playmate. If you don’t have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn’t work full time.
Merv has mastered crate training and sleeps through the night in a crate in his foster carer’s bedroom. He would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family, included in day-to-day life, and given plenty of mental stimulation, play, and love. Merv is very curious and loves to taste everything so you must have a puppy proofed home and yard. This means no under house access, no soft soil to get out and no choke hazards lying around.
Merv has a small umbilical hernia which will be repaired when he gets desexed and currently causes him no issues.
Merv’s Summary:
🐾Expected to be a large sized boy
🐾Needs to be allowed inside as part of the family
🐾Safe, secure yard is a must
🐾Doggy companion is preferred or someone in the home that doesn’t work full time
🐾Loving home committed to his ongoing training and socialisation
🐾Active boy who loves to snuggle after a big day of playing
🐾Kids over 8
Merv’s adoption fee is $800.00 which includes his desexing and hernia repair when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Merv is in foster care in Sawyers Gully, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast, and Sydney. He’ll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he is 5 to 6 months old.
