About Hector
Say Howdy to Hector, the newly fun-employed red and tan Kelpie boy looking for a home to call his own.
After recently being dismissed from his working employment for underperforming, Hector is looking to upskill and diversify. He has demonstrated expert skills in cuddles, pats and smooches. He is a quick learner, has an impeccable off switch, and is a well-behaved young man. Hector shows strong qualities that make him a top candidate for any vacant position of “goodest boy.”
Since being in care, he’s developing an impressive emerging skill set that includes recall, sit, drop, leash walking, and social skills. He even sits for his dinner and treats, like a champ. Hector has a quirky, inquisitive, fun loving personality that keeps the whole family entertained. He loves to explore with his foster family or independently, and at the end of the day, he sleeps in his crate all night without a peep.
Hector is loyal and ridiculously people-orientated, did we say he LOVES A SMOOCH? He is always up for an adventure or playtime and has so much love to give. At times, he needs gentle reminders to use his manners when showing his enthusiasm to humans and fur-friends. Hector is happiest and best self with consistent boundaries and a routine.
With his gentle nature and paw-leasing personality, he’ll make an outstanding family member. Hector would be happy as an only dog if his family is home more often than not, or with confident, friendly resident dog(s) who can be his mentor and show him the ropes.
Hector’s new home must have experience with working dog breeds and an understanding of the need to keep his brain busy and his body active. He would suit an active, semi-rural home where he can stretch his legs and be included in all aspects of family life.
Hector is located in QLD.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
