About Minka
Meet Minka, a 4-year-and-6-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Springer Spaniel mix with a heart as tender as her gentle expression. Weighing in at a petite 8 kg, Minka may initially appear as a cautious and anxious companion, but she has the potential to blossom beautifully in a comforting and secure environment. Her journey to confidence is progressing positively, and with the right person by her side, she is sure to shine.
You might notice that Minka is initially alert to sudden noises and movements and can cower when approached directly from the front. However, during walks, she starts to let her playful side show, with intermittent tail wags indicating her moments of joy and curiosity. Minka flourishes in peaceful surroundings where she can relax and relish gentle strokes, softly but surely revealing her affectionate side.
With lively energy and a spirited disposition, Minka is eager to embark on an active lifestyle. Leash training and mental stimulation will be key to helping her channel her zest for life. She can coexist with some dogs, although her compatibility varies; her feline compatibility remains untested. Her future owner will have the opportunity to see her become a well-rounded and cherished companion.
If you have a nurturing heart, plenty of patience, and a love of outdoor adventures, Minka could be the loving addition your home needs. With just a bit of love, understanding, and guidance, Minka will repay you with trust and loyalty.
Medical notes
Minka passed her medical.
She had a single dental extraction. Scale and clean of remaining teeth.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
