Spud is a dilute ginger and white kitten with a big presence and a thoughtful little soul. He’s confident and curious, but also a thinker – the kind of kitten who pauses to assess the situation before diving in. He isn’t nervous at all, just sensible. Once he’s decided something is worth exploring, he’s right there in the middle of it.

He enjoys smooches and head butts and is happy being picked up, though at this stage of life play usually wins over long cuddle sessions. Spud has a particular fascination with feet and shoes and loves sitting on your lap while you work at your desk, quietly supervising. He gets along beautifully with the resident cat in his foster home and would likely be a great companion for another friendly cat after a slow introduction. He’s a little more cautious when unfamiliar cats appear at the window, showing off his thoughtful side.

Spud feels like an old soul kitten – steady, confident and observant – with plenty of energy to play, but a calmer, more deliberate approach than most. While not bonded, he and Potato Gem would make a lovely pair for a home wanting two complementary personalities.
