Madonna is a very nervous cat when she first meets new people. She is incredibly cat social but still very frightened of humans - we believe people were not always kind to her. She's the kind of cat who will fall in love with your cat long before she trusts you.

But behind those initial hisses, wide eyes and fearful moments is a little cat who is desperately wanting to be loved. She just doesn't know how to believe she's safe yet. All she needs is time, patience and the right home to show her that not all humans will let her down.

This sweet girl came into our care with her tiny kittens after living a difficult life. Despite everything she'd been through, she was the most devoted mum. She gave her babies everything she had. Now it's finally her turn to be someone's baby.

Madonna would thrive in a home with a confident, friendly and welcoming cat who can help show her that people can be trusted. Watching another cat happily interact with their humans can make all the difference for shy cats like Madonna. She would also be happy as an only cat if her new family is willing to give her the time and patience she needs to blossom.

She has not been tested with dogs and would not be suited to a home with children under 10 years of age.

Madonna is a petite, absolutely gorgeous girl with beautiful, unique markings and the sweetest little face. We adore her, and we know that with the right person she will continue to flourish.

Shy cats are so often overlooked, yet they frequently form the deepest, most loyal bonds with the people who earn their trust. They may take a little longer, but they love with their whole hearts. They're some of the most rewarding cats you'll ever have the privilege of calling family.
