About Mindy
Mindy is confident, sassy, sweet, independent, hilarious, loving, social, inquisitive, and playful. All that, plus she's super resilient for having overcome a life-threatening bout of parvo as a young puppy.
She's grown up in foster care with people who work from home and an adult dog who's been a great foster brother by socialising her well and instilling in her a love of wrestling and fun. Like him, Mindy greets visitors with the utmost excitement and happy wiggles - she's a very affectionate girl.
She's also been babysat by a family with young kids (3 and 6 yrs old) who loved her to bits, and she's had several playdates with large adult dogs - Mindy got straight into the rumble tumble action of course, despite being a third of their size and weight.
She would slot into any active household, as long as she's included in daily life and its big and little adventures.
During the day, Mindy happily occupies herself exploring in the yard, munching on sticks, snooping on the neighbourhood goings-on, playing with her foster brother, dragging a stray sock, shoe or pair of undies into her lair under the bed, and having a nap or cuddle in between. At night, she enjoys a sleepy snuggle session on the couch and then sleeps soundlessly in her pen overnight on her own in the living room.
She also travels well in the car and is very much enjoying some walks and outings now that she's vaccinated and allowed to explore the outside world!
You will probably never meet a dog more food-motivated than Mindy, which bodes well for her training. When she hears the toaster pop, she RUNS to the kitchen to get her lick of peanut butter once the knife's been used, and she does somersaults when she hears the scoop of her kibble. She already follows her "sit" command very well.
Mindy is very interested in insects and the resident chickens, so whether that is a lifelong prey drive or just puppy excitement, who knows, but something for her new family to factor in.
Please enquire to meet her in Otford NSW (2508) at her foster home where she will be sorely missed, but which will open up a spot for another deserving pup like her to be fostered in the future.

Adoption details
The first step towards adoption is to complete our simple adoption/enquiry form so we can learn more about you and your lifestyle and see if that's a good fit for the pet you have in mind.
Completing the form does not oblige you to proceed any further if you don't wish to.
From there, we can arrange a meet and greet and if satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the founder of the rescue group.
