About Candy
LOCATED IN PERTH
🎅All the excitement of Christmas morning… with just a little wait! 🎄
Just like watching the calendar countdown to Santa’s visit, these four little cuties are creating plenty of anticipation while they finish growing, learning, and getting ready for their next big adventure.
Meet Candy and Cherry (girls), along with Comet and Chestnut (boys), a bundle of puppy cheer currently in foster care with a loving family, where they are learning all the important puppy skills like confidence, socialising, and settling into everyday life.
Right now, they are not quite ready to pack their bags and head to their adoptive homes, but that does not mean you cannot take a sneak peek and start dreaming. Think of them as those beautifully wrapped presents under the tree… close enough to admire, just not ready to open yet.
✨ Sweet Candy
✨ Bright and joyful Cherry
✨ Zoomy little Comet
✨ Warm and cuddly Chestnut
Being in foster care means we get to know their personalities, quirks, and individual needs, so when the time comes, we can help match them with the right homes.
📋You can absolutely add them to your Christmas wish list by submitting an adoption application. When they are ready, we can easily arrange a meet and greet so you can get to know them in person.
SAFE is a foster-based rescue, so we do not have a shelter you can visit, but that does not stop you from adopting, meeting, and falling in love.
Sometimes the best things are worth a short wait… and these four are already spreading plenty of festive joy 🎁🐾
This pup has tested positive to Ehrlichia canis and is responding well to treatment. E. canis is a tick-borne condition that is manageable with veterinary care, and many dogs go on to live happy, active lives once treated. SAFE will ensure all recommended treatment and follow-up care is completed, and our team is happy to answer any questions.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.
2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.
3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.
4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.
NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.
*Puppies and dogs may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
6 GREAT REASONS TO ADOPT FROM SAFE:
