About Doug (65435)
Meet Doug, our confident and handsome boy from up north!
Doug has a fascinating backstory, having come from Far North Australia where he was rescued as a "camp dog." He grew up around a primary school, roaming freely and charming everyone he met. Thanks to this upbringing, Doug is excellent with kids, comfortable around strangers, and generally great with other dogs who are well socialised.
While Doug enjoys canine company out and about, he is best suited to being the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the attention. He is very handler-focused and would thrive with ongoing training and engagement. Doug is also toilet trained and, although he has previously lived as an outside dog, he could adapt well to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
Doug is not suitable for a home with cats. He was previously returned after chasing a cat in the home, so a cat-free environment is essential for his success.
In the warmer months, Doug experiences skin allergies and is currently on medication to manage his itchy skin. He weighs 36kg and is as striking as he is affectionate.
If you'd like to meet our interesting boy Doug from the tropical north, please apply online today to arrange a meet and greet.
