About Star
Penny will need to begin her new life in a small, quiet area of the home, with access to hard-to-reach spots restricted and any potential escape holes or spaces securely blocked. She should be given time to settle before being allowed to explore the rest of the house, as large open areas can be overwhelming for her at first.
Her home should be enriched with scratch posts, cat trees, and safe hiding places such as cardboard boxes or cat igloos. Access to shelves or dressers will help provide a variety of safe spaces, both high and low, throughout the home.
A patient and understanding adopter is essential, as Penny may be timid when first entering a new environment and may need time to feel secure before showing her true personality. A household with teens or older children who understand basic cat body language and know when to give him space would be ideal.
Penny is social with other cats and may do well with a confident feline companion in the home.
