About Ella
Ella is a bright, affectionate girl with a big heart and an even bigger love for play. She adores having space to stretch her legs and would be happiest in a home with a generous yard where she can run, explore, and enjoy life. In her foster home she has been living with a calm female dog, which has suited her beautifully, as she can get a little overexcited around more energetic dogs.
With her foster children (aged 10 and 13), Ella is gentle, cuddly, and responsive — she happily takes commands from them and waits patiently for her dinner. She has also met visiting children of similar ages and, once introduced, has shown lovely manners and a sweet, respectful nature. New people simply need a soft, calm introduction, and she settles quickly.
Ella thrives when her mind and body are kept busy, so a family who can offer her an hour of daily exercise/activity would be ideal. She is eager to please, affectionate, and has already learnt so much during her time in foster care. With a calm, confident owner who can offer routine and consistency, she will continue to blossom.
She may also be well suited to a home with another gentle female dog or an easy-going older dog, pending a meet-and-greet.
