š¾š©¶INTRODUCING WESLEY š©¶š¾
Hi⦠Iām Wesley. I might look like a confident young lad now, but that wasnāt always the case. Iāve come such a long way since the Angels gave me a second chance. Iām still learning how to trust hoomans properly, but every single day I get a tiny bit braver ā and a whole lot happier.
Nature
Before the Angels took me in, I ended up at the vets with no one wanting me. I wasnāt looking my best back then ā a bit scruffy, a bit sad, and definitely not the handsome boy I am today! I understand why people walked past me⦠but Iām so grateful someone finally stopped and saw the sweet little soul underneath.
Iām a gentle boy with a soft heart, and I like to take life at my own pace. When I first arrived in foster care, I hid all day long ā like, all day. But now I come out for my meals, relax in my favourite spots, and explore the house even when the hoomans are awake.
And the biggest change of all? I now LOVE my rubs. But only in my safe place ā thatās where I feel brave enough to enjoy them. Iāll happily lean in for head rubs and booty scratches, but when Iāve had enough, Iāll let you know with a gentle little swipe. Iām polite like that.
Oh ā and Iām a smart little cookie too. Iāve even mastered the Litter Robot all by myself. Pretty impressive for a shy boy, right!
Iām not sure if Iāll ever be a full-on lap cat, but Iām trying really hard to grow, learn, and trust in my own time. My Foster Mumma tells me all the time that Iām a gorgeous boy. I just need someone willing to take a chance on me⦠someone who sees the sweet, gentle kitty Iām becoming. With the right family by my side, I know I can keep growing into the loving boy Iām meant to be.
Will someone give me my furāever home?
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Iām still a bit unsure about hoomans, so Iād love a home with patient, gentle people who understand that I need time to feel safe. Adults and teenagers are totally fine ā as long as they let me come out of my shell when Iām ready.
Iāve also made a special friend in foster care ā a lovely girl named Cotton. We play chasey around the house and have friendly little wrestles. Having another cat around really helps me feel braver, so Iād love a home with a friendly feline buddy.
Dogs? I havenāt met any up close yet, but the ones who bark outside donāt scare me. With slow introductions, I think I could learn to be okay with a calm doggo friend too.
Likes/Dislikes
ā
Food ā seriously, itās my absolute favourite thing in the world.
ā
Head rubs and booty scratches (in my safe place only)
ā
Sitting on the scratcher and watching the house like a tiny security guard.
ā
Playing chasey with Cotton.
ā
Exploring when the mood strikes!
ā Not a fan of being picked up (maybe one day⦠but not right now)
My PURRāfect home would be with a loving family who understands that Iām still learning how to be brave. Iād do best somewhere calm and gentle, where I can come out of my shell in my own time without any pressure. Having some friendly feline companions would really help me feel more confident too ā theyāre like little furry cheerleaders.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
