About Phantom & Julius
Jules and Phantom aren't your typical "Rescue or Rehomed" Program cats. While they have been surrendered into our care, we know from their previous loving home that once out of the shelter environment, both boys settle beautifully and show their true, wonderful personalities.
In a home, Jules and Phantom were described as friendly, affectionate and relaxed companions. They show lovely affiliative behaviours, enjoy human interaction, are playful, and respond positively to physical contact. Both enjoy handling, seek out affection, and genuinely enjoy being part of a calm household. Unfortunately, the noise, activity and unfamiliar surroundings of the shelter have been incredibly overwhelming for them, leaving them shy, shut down and struggling to cope.
Jules and Phantom need to be adopted together, for the right adopter they could make a very special bonded pair. They take comfort in one another, and their connection is clear to see.
Phantom is the more outgoing of the two. In a home environment, he is affectionate, relaxed and enjoys pats and interaction. With a little time to decompress, he is expected to regain his confidence quickly in a calm, predictable home.
Jules is a cat who knows what he likes and appreciates affection on his terms. In his previous home, he was described as a lap cat who enjoyed close bonds with his people. He is sensitive and selective, and while bonded with Phantom, he is not keen on other animals.
Both boys have already shown us that they are capable of thriving once removed from the shelter. They are not failing - the environment simply doesn't suit cats like Jules and Phantom. They deserve the chance to decompress, settle, and return to being the affectionate, relaxed companions we know they can be.
Jules & Phantom are part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats who cannot cope in a shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Jules and Phantom, or if you're a rescue group able to help, please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
