Deaf? Yes. Held back? Absolutely not.
Rue may not hear the world the way most dogs do, but she doesn’t miss a thing. Her smarts and adaptability shine through in every training session, and she’s already thriving with Helen Keller–style communication using hand signals and touch cues - and she loves it. She’s proof that deaf dogs can be extraordinary learners.

Rue is a dream on the lead - calm, attentive, and beautifully in sync with her handler.
And don’t let her age fool you… this girl has wheels. Rue has recently discovered her passion for beach runs and is already comfortably jogging up to 5km every now and then! Whether it's a steady stroll or a sandy shoreline sprint, she’s right there with you, tail wagging.

Rue’s impulse control is genuinely impressive for her age. She’s already:

2. Focused and eager to learn
3. Able to regulate her excitement better than many adult dogs

Rue was born deaf, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit! She’s a bright, energetic, and loving pup who learns quickly with patience and positive training. With calm guidance and clear cues, she thrives and enjoys life to the fullest, proving that being deaf doesn’t stop her from being the joyful, playful girl she is.

~Why do you think I would suit your family?
~As a working breed I will need lots of training, exercise & mental stimulation. How to do plan to meet those needs?
~ Have you done any training with other dogs? If so what training have you and your previous/current dog completed?
~I will need additional vet work in my life time such as follow up
vaccinations etc, is this a problem?
~I will also need flea and worm treatments to keep me at my
optimum health, are you prepared for that?
~I've had a diet since being at the rescue of quality biscuits, can you guarantee to continue my current diet?
~ I am a good 10-20 years commitment are you 100% ready to
give me a home?
If initial approval given...
~A yard check or photographic proof of secure fencing, shelter & sleeping areas will be required.
~Written agreement is required by your landlord/real estate for rental properties. A rates notice is required for homeowners.
~A vet reference may be required.
