About Jemima
Jemima is a beautiful 10-year-old lady who is looking for a palliative care home where she can spend her remaining time feeling safe and cherished.
She adores being close to her people and will happily roll over for a tummy rub the moment you sit beside her. Jemima is gentle, affectionate and deeply people-oriented — she would be happiest in a quiet home where someone is around to keep her company and remind her every day that she is loved.
Jemima does need to be the only pet, as she isn’t comfortable sharing her space with other dogs.
Late last year, Jemima had several skin spots removed which were sadly confirmed as cancerous (cutaneous hemangiosarcomas). At the time, we were hopeful — if new spots were removed as they appeared, the chance of internal spread was low.
But now, the spots are returning quickly, and the repeated procedures she would need to remove them would place a lot of stress and pressure on her body.
So now, our hope for Jemima has changed.
Instead of more surgeries and stress, we want her to have peace.
Instead of more vet visits, we want her to have warm beds, tummy rubs, and quiet companionship.
We are searching for a special person who can offer Jemima a calm, loving home for her final chapter — whether that time is days, weeks or months. A home where she can be spoiled and cuddled, with someone who will allow her the respect of letting her go when she still has her dignity, going to rest with as little suffering as possible.
If you think you could be the one to give Jemima the gift of a peaceful end to life, please contact us on 9722 1265 or fill out the expression of interest form linked below.
