About Elvira
Elvira is a sensitive girl who will need a gentle start in her new home. She must begin in a small launch room and be given time to settle before exploring the rest of the house, as she can become easily overwhelmed in large, open spaces. Providing plenty of safe zones will help her feel secure-scratching posts, cat trees, cardboard box hides, igloos, and access to shelves or dressers so she has both high and low retreat options throughout the home.
She will need a patient, understanding adopter who recognises that Elvira may be timid at first and may take some time before showing her true, affectionate self. Teens or older children who can read basic cat body language and give her space when needed are recommended.
Elvira is currently untested with other cats, but she has been non-reactive and appears interested in them. She may do well with a calm, confident feline companion who can help her build confidence.
She is easily spooked by fast movements and loud noises, but once she warms up, she can be very affectionate. Elvira also has a soft spot for Temptations bite-size treats and chicken.
