About Jessie
Meet Jessie, a beautiful senior Golden Retriever. This gorgeous lady just loves company and is very affectionate.
Jessie would thrive in a household where someone is around most of the time, such as a family with flexible working arrangements or someone who works from home. Her whole world has changed after losing her mum 😞 who she is really missing. Having another gentle male dog for company would further help her settle into her new life.
Jessie loves her daily walks 🐾.
She experiences some separation anxiety when the current home occupant leaves for work (around 2 hours), expressed through barking, so a home where she can be surrounded by love and presence is ideal.
Jessie has previously had cruciate ligament surgery in her younger days and is on glucosamine and hemp oil to help with her arthritis. This treatment would need to continue and costs around $15 per month.
Not suited to home with cats or children under 12 years.
Are you looking for a gentle and devoted companion like Jessie?
⚠️ Assisted rehoming
This is an assisted rehoming which means that Animals In Need Brisbane (AINB) will advertise, contact applicants and pass on applications that meet the the criteria to the owner who will make the final decision on the rehoming of the animal. AINB may also be requested to undertake an inspection of the successful applicants property to confirm safety and suitability.
There is no adoption fee for assisted rehomings but we do ask for a donation from the successful applicant (of their choosing) to AINB in recognition of the administrative and time costs incurred.
‼️ Please include all relevant information in your application, including fencing, other pets, children and ages etc.
Medical notes

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
