One look into Patchwick’s soulful eyes and it’s game over. This friendly, affectionate little guy has a magical way of making everyone feel like his new best friend. Adults, children, other dogs—and yes, even cats—are all greeted with enthusiasm (though he’s still working out the whole not chasing the cat concept).

Patchwick is playful, cheeky and endlessly curious, balanced beautifully by a snuggly, people-loving nature. He adores being involved in daily life and will happily trail after you, “supervising” household tasks or settling contentedly at your feet. Gardening may occasionally suffer, but your heart certainly won’t.

Eager to please and quick to learn, Patchwick already knows sit and on your bed, and he’s making fantastic progress with his recall. He’s just learning to walk on lead and is proving to be a natural. He’s crate trained, mostly housetrained (a few early puppy mishaps), and has learnt that in this house, furniture is for humans only.

While he much prefers company, Patchwick can cope with being left alone. After a brief protest, he’s quite happy to snooze in a sunny spot or entertain himself with a toy.

Like all puppies, Patchwick is still mastering boundaries—pot plants, laundry and unattended food are clearly very tempting—so he’ll thrive with adopters committed to ongoing training, guidance and patience as he grows into the very best version of himself.

Although listed as a Wolfhound, Patchwick is crossed with a smaller breed and will grow to be a medium-sized dog.

Patchwick would be perfectly suited to:

· A home with another dog (ideally a calm, sensible female)

· People who are around often and keen to include him as part of the family

· Adopters excited to continue his training and enjoy all the fun that comes with a bright, loving pup
