Foster Carer Needed - Meet Waffles!

Waffles is a beautiful Golden Retriever who is beginning his journey away from a puppy farm past. Because of this, he is very shut down and unsure of the world around him. He hasn't yet learned that humans can be kind, predictable and safe and he will need someone truly special to help him discover that in his own time.

Waffles is looking for an experienced foster carer, ideally someone familiar with puppy farm or very fearful dogs. He will need a quite, calm, adult only home with someone who is home most of the time and able to move at his pace without expectations or pressure.

Another confident, friendly resident dog is essential as Waffles takes comfort and cues from other dogs and will rely heavily on them as he learns how to be a dog. Cats may be a possibility, with careful introductions. Due to his fear, no children please. Very secure fencing is a must as Waffles is a flight risk while he builds trust.

He will thrive in a low-stimulation environment where patience, understanding and routine are prioritized over progress timelines. Waffles may not be the dog that seeks affection straight away, but for the right person, helping him feel safe for the first time will be incredibly rewarding.
