Elvira

Our sweet mama Elvira was rescued along with 12 kittens she’d been feeding. She’s the sweetest most affectionate girl who has been a wonderful mother and is now looking for a forever home of her own.

Elvira is very food motivated and will rub against your leg and get very chatty at dinner time. She’s perfectly happy to be picked up and held.

Elvira is occasionally hissy and can swat at other cats/kittens (particularly when food is involved) but has never hurt anyone – it’s more an expression of her annoyance at something (like dinner taking too long). For this reason it would be best to do slow introductions with other cats and supervised communal meal times.

Elvira has had contact with a staghound dog and did quite well perched at the dog’s eye level, allowing the dog to come close and sniff her. Slow introductions with dogs are recommended.

Alternatively, Elvira would be suited to a solo pet household providing she has humans to keep her company most of the time (she’s quite social). This mama girl deserves the best life after giving so much of herself to those 12 kittens.
